Meet the Team

Thomas joined NU Construction in 2017, bringing with him over 15 years’ experience in the construction industry. He has developed an expertise in project management and site commercial operations, earning a reputation for his versatility and adaptability across a wide range of projects.

With a strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence, Thomas ensures the seamless delivery of every project he undertakes. His sharp commercial acumen greatly benefits NU Construction, as well as our staff and supply chain partners, with whom he collaborates closely.

Throughout his career, Thomas has been actively involved in a diverse array of projects across various sectors, including industrial, commercial, leisure, and educational contracts.

Simon, jointly established NU back in 2003, initially overseeing the Estimating, Purchasing and Marketing Departments as well as carrying out day to day estimating duties himself. A role he has enjoyed now for over 40 years within the construction industry.

Simon now Director and Chairman, still works closely with clients and consultants alike and believes these strong relationships have been instrumental to the company's success and the continued repeat business that NU has benefited from.

Mick joined NU Construction in 2007 as Contracts Manager. Mick has had direct responsibility for a wide range of projects across all sectors of the market, including schools, hotels, prisons, retail, commercial and industrial schemes.

He has worked in the industry over 30 years and is well versed in traditional and design and build forms of contract. Mick's duties involve the co-ordination and development of the construction department, having now been appointed Director to support the growth of the business.

Mark joined the management team to reinforce the Pre-Construction process. He brings 32 years experience from major players in the construction industry and now works as a key senior member of the team driving the business forward and into the future.

Mark is also responsible for leading the design and build sector of the business, building lasting partnerships with consultants and architects. This element of the business is thriving through Mark's dedication and commitment to the role.

Matthew joined the NU team in 2018. Having been in the industry for 20 years, Matthew brings with him a wealth of commercial knowledge.

Matthew's expertise and responsibilities within the business include cash flow forecasting, procurement, supply chain management and producing and reviewing contract documentation.
