We are proud to announce the completion of the East Midlands Designer Outlet Food Court refurbishment.
We cannot thank enough the team at NU Construction Ltd, along with our trusted subcontractors, who have all been fully immersed in this project, and that commitment to excellence is reflected in the quality of the final handover.
This has been a major redevelopment. The previous dining area was stripped back to a shell, allowing for essential fire protection upgrades and structural checks to bring everything up to modern standards.
To achieve the bold architectural vision, we worked closely with the design team to engineer a new internal steel frame, combined with an innovative SFS design, creating the striking circular ceilings with intricate soffits and bulkheads.
Given the constraints of the existing structure, this required meticulous planning and constant monitoring to ensure the integrity of the original steel frame.

The food court is now re-open and will be a modern, welcoming space for visitors for years to come—and we’re proud to have played a part in shaping it.
