Simon, a member of the Chartered Institute of Building, set up NU jointly with Tony Rogan in 2003, initially overseeing the Estimating, Purchasing and Marketing Departments as well as carrying out day to day estimating duties himself. A role he has enjoyed now for over 35 years within the construction industry.
Simon now managing director, works closely with clients and consultants and believes building these strong relationships has been instrumental to the company's success and the continued repeat business that NU has benefited from.
Tony remains a director at NU however, has now retired from his day to day duties. Together with Simon, both managed to grow the business from scratch to £5.7m turnover in the first 18 months. With the turnover now established at circa £17M per annum we look forward to a bright future.
Having worked through the industry from QS over 40 years ago, Tony has established wide sector experience within the Commercial Industry from smaller refurbishment and extension projects to major new build. Tony believes the success to the business is ensuring everyone works together as a team to deliver a service above and beyond a client's expectations.
Mick joined NU Construction in 2007 as Contracts Manager. Mick has had direct responsibility for a wide range of projects across all sectors of the market, including schools, hotels, prisons, retail commercial and inductrial schemes.
He has worked in the industry over 30 years and is well versed in traditional and design and build forms of contract.
Mick's duties involve the co-ordination and development of the construction department, having now recently been appointed Associate Director to support the growth of the business.
Mark joined the management team to reinforce the Pre-Construction process.
He brings 27 years experience from major players in the construction industry and now works as a key senior member of the team driving the business forward and into the future.
Mark is also responsible for leading the design and build sector of the business, building lasting partnerships with consultants and architects. This element of the business is thriving through Mark's dedication and commitment to the role.
Andy joined the team at Nu Construction in 2015 and has had a wide range of experience across all sectors including demolition, renewable energy and all the traditional sectors. Andy's current duties involve the co-ordination and development of Nu Construction's Health & Safety policies, proceedures and staff / operative training. He works tirelessly to keep the Health & Safety standard at its highest level, with a proven track record of efficiency.
Steve joined the surveying team in May 2016, he brings with him 12 years of varied industry experience across most sectors on projects ranging between £100K to £20M. Steve works closely with the procurement department and has a tireless work ethic to produce the best results working hand in hand with the site team to meet the clients expectations.
Aiden Cox works alongside Mark, as estimator and buyer responding to the growing number of enquiries. Aiden joined the company in 2011 with 5 years experience in estimating and is responsible for preparing and pricing new tenders received.
Aiden has proved himself to be a valuable asset to the team.
